As Art in the Loft kicks off its 15th year, we are adding a few twists to our signature "fun-raising" benefit auction, Glamour and Gourmet in the Gallery. New this year will be a pre-event online "Armchair Auction" which will be conducted for a full week prior to the event, giving all our guests and members the chance to purchase great travel and auction packages online.
Glamour & Gourmet itself will feature a shorter live auction (with no shortage of fabulous packages and experiences), as well as the addition of "mobile bidding" allowing guests to mingle with friends at the event while bidding from their smart phones or mobile devices during the silent auction. Guests will enjoy a plated dinner preceding the live auction, an opportunity to win a Golden Ticket valued at $2000 and much, much more!

The inspiration for this year's event is found in the music of Carole King, a Brooklyn teen who broke into the music industry in the 1950's and rose to fame writing songs like "One Fine Day", "You've Got a Friend" and "You Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman". The Broadway musical, "Beautiful" tells the story of finding her true voice as an artist.
The music of "Beautiful" sets the stage for the event, while the featured guests are all the beautiful people like YOU who have come together over the past 15 years to make Art in the Loft that special place in our community where everyone can find their own artist's voice.
Our newest program is R.E.A.C.H. for the Arts (RecognizeEveryone's Abilities and Creative Hearts). It teaches the culinary and visual arts to those will special needs. The Special Appeal at Glamour & Gourmet will be dedicated to this project.
